The endocannabinoid system
plays an extremely important role in the smooth functioning of the whole organism, it is responsible, among others, for the regulation of physiological processes, pain perception, mood regulation, appetite and cognitive functions.
Endo – means internal.
Cannabinoid – means that cannabinoids, organic chemicals that naturally produce animal and human organisms, contribute to regulating its processes and stimulating its receptors.
There are also cannabinoids of plant origin (derived from cannabis plants) and synthetic, laboratory-made by humans.
AS WE KNOW,
every living organism is an extremely complicated, amazing “machine” in which every smallest element is of great importance, and every process that takes place in it has an impact on other life activities. That is why CBD, acting on the receptors of the endocannabinoid system, stimulates some of them, while others, those that negatively affect your mood – deactivates. In this way, it helps the body maintain a pleasant and health-friendly state of harmony, relaxation and peace.
Effects of CBD
in the simplest of terms – taking CBD oil supports processes
that naturally take place in our body from the beginning of our lives.
And as we have already mentioned, these processes are even basic, responsible for our sleep, appetite or hormonal economy.
Research on CBD and their results
It is surprising that, while cannabis plants have been known and cultivated by humans for thousands of years, it is only in recent decades that scientists around the world have begun to focus on strict research on this plant.
It was only in 2015 that 49 results (studies conducted in rats) of preclinical, clinical and epidemiological studies discussing the issue of anxiolytic and antipsychotic effects of CBD contained in cannabis leaves and flowers were released to the public. These studies show that CBD plays an important role in the treatment of anxiety, and also reduces stress and its negative effects, prevents cancer and has a neuroprotective effect.
